Richard Serra: Junction / Cycle Exhibition at Gagosian Gallery, New York

Richard Serra: Junction / Cycle Exhibition at Gagosian Gallery, New YorkThe Gagosian Gallery has a new exhibition of Richard Serra’s monumental sculpture. Designed to make you interact in the space and force you to walk around the gallery according to the sculpture, this is an incredible show.

Go to walk through the sculptures and be amazed by their height and power. Serra is quoted:

‘I consider space to be a material. The articulation of space has come to take precedence over other concerns. I attempt to use sculptural form to make space distinct’.

The two works on show ‘Junction’ (2011) and ‘Cycle’ (2010) are both made of weatherproof steel. The exhibition is open until Saturday 26 November 2011.
