Navy Beach Restaurant, Montauk

Navy Beach Restaurant, Montauk

It’s Memorial Day weekend, which means the official start of the US summer and time for New Yorkers to start heading to the Hamptons for the weekend.

Last year we headed further east to Montauk located at the tip of South Fork Peninsula of Long Island. At the end of an amazing 3 hour train journey we found the perfect place – like a hot Cornwall with beautiful countryside, stunning beaches, surfers, pool parties and cool restaurants.

One of these restaurants, called Navy Beach was a cycle ride away from our hotel. Hidden away on its own beach (of the same name) this fabulous restaurant is the perfect place to while away the evening sipping cocktails and eating local clam & corn chowder, mussels and cerviche.

Sitting on this beach, feels like you have discovered a tiny part of the South of France mixed with Ibiza (the quiet cool bit). So head here to see the sunset and enjoy the beauty of the place.

For bookings visit the Navy Beach restaurant.

  1. Cool picture. Did you walk the beach? Do you know about the nearby ship wreck? Why is it called Navy Beach? Check out http://maidstonejewelry.wordpress.com/40-beaches-of-east-hampton/
