This season, visit the Guggenheim to see the Maurizio Cattelan exhibition entitled All, which is literally suspended from the rotunda, filling the void with 130 thought-provoking works. Never before seen together in this way and the first retrospective of Cattelan’s work, it is a spectacle to be seen.
Cattelan’s work features life-like sculptures of people and animals who provoke us to think about life and death especially as many animals displayed are the product of taxidermy. But there is also power at play in these characters and often underlying dark scenes.
Go to admire an installation of exceptional works massed together and to understand more about this complex artist many see as a prankster. He’s not.
